In this Episode, Dr. Bev and her special guest, Susan Kemp, a former teenage welfare mother who became Assistant Welfare Commissioner for the State of New York. She has seen what the grants world can do - both as a recipient as well as an administrator. Appointed by Governor George E. Pataki to her position as Director of Grants Management from June 1995 to December 31, 2006, Ms. Kemp was responsible for identifying and managing the NYS Office of Children and Family Services' (OCFS) grant activities.
